Bridge building: Church helps couple with repairs

As part of the church's outreach program several men helped replace the couple's floor."I met Phyllis at Wal-Mart," Cary Sims said. "After getting to know her and Don, we decided we could help them."The men's group has two other projects in process. They partnered with Owasso Community Resources for Saturday's project.Phyllis and Don took refuge under a tree before temperatures got too uncomfortable, then they drove around for a while."We are so pleased people are willing to help," she said of the men's group.The Bridge Church has about 50 members, who recently decided they wanted to make a difference in other's lives by doing these projects.The church meets on Sunday mornings at the Dickinson Owasso 10 Theater. The group finished their work late Saturday afternoon.
