The executive director of O.C.R. is a born and raised Collinsville girl, Jeanette North . . . you might know her as Jeanette Hendrix, daughter of Marvin and Joyce Hendrix.
Jeanette is truly passionate about O.C.R. and its mission to help people of this area. After working for Neighbor-For-Neighbor for a period of time, Jeanette answered the call to serve in the lead position at O.C.R. nine months ago. Since that time, the organization is back on its feet and assisting numerous people.
The local charity help group has already provided 51 Thanksgiving dinners for Collinsville people, helped to provide Christmas gifts for 430 children in both Collinsville and Owasso that otherwise would not have had gifts last Christmas, assisted six disabled adults during the holiday season, have assisted numerous people with utility bills to the tune of several thousand dollars per month and are continuing to do great work for the Collinsville and Owasso community. Now they need your help.
OCR's Best-Gala 2007 sponsored by Bailey Medical Center and Bailey Educational Foundation will feature Executive Chef Barrington Rashford who will prepare his artistic cuisine for you on March 31, as well as Owasso's Mayor Cataudella and First Lady Kenna along with other local dignitaries who will feast from a menu especially created by Chef Barrington for "Gala" guests.
The attire is Black Tie-Casual - but what does that mean? You can dine, dance and socialize in your tux or your jeans.
The person or couple who best combines the attire will take home a trophy of envious desire.
The gala is set for Bailey Education Foundation's Event Room, 11010 East 106th Street North on March 31. The Saturday reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 p.m.
